These testers are customized to suit the needs of our costumers.
They can check the functionality of military flight helmet’s communication systems, can monitor the status of wiring and components like mikes, mike amplifiers, earphones etc. and aural a visual alarms trigger when a fault is detected.
They can test mono and stereo helmets, and also can test detached helmet components like mikes, mike amplifiers, earphones, NV mic lights etc
In case of distortion they can quickly determine if the distortion is generated in the headphones side or the mike side of the helmet.
They come with a Vu-meter that measures the strength of the audio signal coming from the microphone system. In the Sound Pressure Level (SPL) test mode, the indication of the vu-meter is used to measure the sensitivity of the microphone system and compare them with others of the same type.
They can also supply power for NV helmet mike lights.
There are a variety of adapters for Helmets with: U-174/U, U-75/U, U-384/U etc and other to test individual components like mikes, earphones etc.
Features:
In the CONT.CHECK mode, the testers detect out of tolerance components and continuous or momentary interruptions/shorts in the mike or the earphone wiring. It is not necessary to wear the helmet to detect faulty wiring assemblies. Three red leds memorize the type of faults detected in every circuit while you manipulate the wiring looking for faults. An audio alarm can also be triggered in case of fault.
In the AUDIO CHECK mode the testers can test:
Microphones sensitivity using the SPL-TEST mode.
Microphones fidelity by amplifying its output, under normal speech conditions, and applying the signal to the earphones or the front panel speaker.
Earphones using the microphone of the helmet or an internal 1KHz sinusoidal tone.
The testers are electrically powered by their external ac adapter (90-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz with: USA, UK, Australian or EU plug).
