Headset tester
HT-3 H/L
OPT-1
The HT-3 H/L has been designed to test HIGH and LOW impedance aviation helmets, headsets, headphones and mikes.
It is iqually useful in the lab, the shop or the flight line.
The HT-3 H/L can test HIGH and LOW impedance helmets and headsets with U-174/U plug, can test HIGH and LOW impedance microphone sensitivity, and also test HIGH impedance fixed wing and ground support headsets,
The HT-3 H/L test:
FIXED WING HEADSETS
HELICOPTER HEADSETS
GROUND MECHANIC HEADSETS
WIRED GROUND CREW HEADSETS
WIRELESS GROUND CREW HEADSETS
WIRED AIRCRAFT PUSH BACK HEADSETS
BLUETOOTH AIRCRAFT PUSH BACK
HEADSETS
AUXILIARY MIKES
HIGH IMPEDANCE HEADPHONES
HEADSETS AND MICROPHONES EXTENSION WIRES
The HT-3 H/L is a hands free and fully autonomous headset tester; it does not need, as other testers do, a headset in perfect condition to check other headsets or microphones.
Not having to keep depressed any switch to activate the tester gives the advantage of using both hands to find momentary interruptions in the wiring.
In case of distortion the HT-3 H/L can quickly determine if the distortion is generated in the headphones side or the mike side of the headset.
The HT-3 H/L has a Vu-meter that measures the strength of the audio signal coming from microphones or from the internal 1 Khz tone generator. In the Sound Pressure Level (SPL) test mode, the indication of the vu-meter is used to measure the sensitivity of microphones and compare them with others of the same type.
The HT-3 H/L can test f.e helmets MSA Gallet, headsets DAVID CLARK H10-76, H10-16, SENNHEISER HME100, PELTOR 72H540F-91,8006,8003, and others high and low impedance aviation helmets and headsets made by MSA, BOSE , DAVID CLARK , TELEX , SENNHEISER , PELTOR, LIGHTSPEED , CLARITY ALOFT, SIGTRONICS , PILOT AVIATION etc.
Features:
Test microphones sensitivity using the SPL-TEST mode.
Test microphones fidelity by amplifying its output, under normal speech conditions, and applying the signal to the phones or the front panel speaker.
Test headphones using an external microphone or an internal 1Khz sinusoidal tone.
Test mono and stereo headphones, PTT switches and extension wires.
It is powered by a 9V battery and has a battery alert when the battery is low.
Accepts:
M642/4-1 (PJ-055B)
M642/5-1 (PJ-068)
M642/2-1 (PJ-051B)
U-174/U plugs.
Options:
OPT-1 AC Adapter (*): With this option the HT-3 H/L can be electrically powered by either a replaceable 9V battery or externally with 90-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
(*)This option is only available at the moment of the purchase of the tester.
