Detailed Features & Modes
Continuity Check Mode
Detects out-of-tolerance components as well as continuous or intermittent shorts and open circuits in microphone and earphone wiring—without needing to wear the helmet. Three memory LEDs capture and store fault types detected in each circuit while manipulating the cable assembly. An audible alarm can also be set to trigger upon fault detection.
Audio Check Mode:
Microphone Sensitivity: Measures microphone sensitivity in SPL-TEST mode.Microphone Fidelity: Amplifies mic output under normal speech conditions and routes the signal directly to the helmet earphones or front-panel speaker for acoustic verification.
Earphone Functionality: Tests earphones using either the helmet microphone or an internal 1Khz sine-wave generator.
Universal Power Supply: Powered via an external AC power adapter (90--240 VAC, 50/60Hz), available with US, UK, Australian, or EU plug configurations.
